Our Creator wants us to live an abundant life and be in good health! Unfortunatley as we look around we see a desparate reality - millions of people suffering mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually from numerous diseases that can be prevented. According to the World Health Organization chronic diseases now account for 59% of the 57 million deaths annually and 46% of the global burden of disease. In the same report it states that up to "80% of cases of coronary heart disease, 90% of type 2 diabetes, and one-third of cancers can be avoided by changing to a healthier diet, increasing physical activity and stopping smoking." (1)

For this reason L.I.G.H.T. is seeking to coordinate over 20 one month training schools this summer. That means that well over 400 men and women will be trained to be health evangelists. Over 400 people equipped to minister as Jesus ministered - healing, teaching, and preaching. Below are just a few of the testimonies from students and teachers from the schools that have recently finished.

Mexico:

“These classes have been such a blessing and a benefit for our health and for our lives. I am so thankful with all my heart for your work and all the energy you put out to teach us." -- Beatriz

"I’m glad to be learning things about God and His healing program (things I didn’t know about) and also massage and hydrotherapy. Those are things or knowledge that will be on my mind from now on and I could use them to help others.” -- Issa

"I was impressed by the commitment and sacrifice that the people in my school were willing to make to be able
to come everyday to class even though they add it into their already busy lives. I have been excited to see them take hold of the training and organize themselves into a health evangelistic team that will continue what has been started. I was touched by their hospitality and friendliness. We came with such simplicity and yet it became our strength. As usual I was strongly impressed with the need for more training. There are so many opportunities open so call for service. The field is ready for harvest." -- Joel, Teacher

Japan

"Conducting a LIGHT school in Japan has been an amazing experience for me... Soon we will have the first ever Health Expo in the largest mall in Maebashi City. We were told to expect at least 200 people. I see where the Lord is leading, and the doors He is opening, and I pray that this will not be a one time effort, but that the youth will be inspired, and the work in Japan will grow and flourish until the Lord's return. Please keep Japan in your prayers." -- Jordan, Teacher

Switzerland

"The whole course was a success, because God blessed it! Teaching and living the health message
showed us how much can be done with simple and natural remedies. One sick student (osteoporosis
and epilepsy) experienced how much daily exercise, sunshine, a healthy diet and fresh air could
improve his condition. After only five days on God’s program he was able to discontinue taking his
pain medication, which he had needed daily for three years. He is thankful to God that He freed him
from his pain. His doctor tested him at the end of the three weeks and was surprised to find his blood
to be in the best condition ever!" -- Ernst, Coordinator

Philippines

       “A couple of days before the consecration service on July 31, 2009 our group for the church assignment was announced.  We were so happy because we believe that it was God who chose for us who will be our partners in the group...   I felt the highest calling and that is to work for the Lord in His vineyard.  I also cried because I feel unworthy to work for the Lord but still He calls me to work for Him.  What an opportunity it is!  I hope many people also will respond to the calling of the Lord to work for Him because His soon return is very very near.” -- Ruel, student
